Healing begins in the context of a safe and trusting relationship. I believe that when clients are seen, heard, and deeply valued, real change becomes possible. As a trauma-informed therapist, I approach each session with warmth, empathy, and an unwavering belief in your capacity to heal.

RACHEL CRAIG, M.ED., LPC, EMDR TRAINED THERAPIST

With over 25 years of experience working with children and families—including the past 10 in private practice—I’ve walked alongside clients of all ages as they move through some of life’s most difficult experiences. My foundation in caregiving runs deep. I was raised in a large family of 21 siblings, 15 of whom were adopted, and from an early age, my world revolved around caring for others. That experience shaped the way I connect—with patience, presence, and attunement.

I am a certified school teacher, certified school counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy that gently supports the brain’s natural ability to process and heal from trauma. Time and time again, I’ve seen how EMDR, when paired with a strong therapeutic relationship, brings clarity, relief, and renewed hope to those carrying painful memories.
I work with clients across the lifespan, but I feel especially drawn to children, teens, and parents. I offer a space that honors your story and moves at your pace—whether you’re navigating childhood trauma, anxiety, grief, or parenting after loss.

I am also the founder of Cradled by Love, Hope, and Healing, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant loss. Walking with families through the rawness of grief and the quiet ache of what could have been is sacred work. I hold space for both maternal and paternal mental health, especially when complicated by birth trauma or the weight of unspoken sorrow.

In my practice, healing is not rushed or forced—it is nurtured. And together, we’ll work to uncover the strength, insight, and resilience that already live within you.
I am currently accepting new private-pay clients for the 2025–2026 school year.
Please note that I do not accept insurance.
